About Recipe

Cute and healthy steamed buns. These piggy shaped buns are all time favourites for kids. kids

Ingredients
All purpose flour -2 &1/2 cups
Milk powder -2 tbsp
Baking powder -1tsp
Luke warm water - 1cup
Sugar -1 tbsp
Dry active yeast -2tsp
Salt -1 tsp
Melted butter - 3tbsp 
Apura caramel Brownie sauce-1/4cup
Method
  • Add sugar & dry active  yeast in luke warm water & allow to rest for 10 minutes for proofing.
  • Then seive all purpose flour +milk powder + salt + baking powder into a mixing bowl.
  • Now add the yeast mixture to it & knead for 15 minutes.
  • Add 2tbsp melted butter to it & knead again to get a smooth dough.
  • Roll & tuck the dough, keep it in a greased  bowl & add some butter over it for moisteneing the dough.
  • Cover it with a cling film & keep near a warm place for 1 hour for proofing.
  • Proofing again depends upon the temperature & weather.then punch the dough a little & knead for  1/2 minutes.
  • Roll & tuck the dough. Then roll out a chapati of 1/4 " .cut small roundels with the help of a katori of 2 &1/2 inches diameter.
  • Now brush a little & fold them into halves.keep a small parchment paper in between.
  • Then with the help of a rolling pin ,press a little. again cover them & rest them for 20 minutes.
  • Steam them in a steamer for 20 minutes or till done.
  • Put fillings of your choice. we ate them with Apura caramel Brownie sauce.
